Dear all,

My name is Ivan Ren, and I want to grow corals in space. There are a lot of steps we’ll have to take to get there, but I’m interested in the intersection of engineering, computer science and biology that could make it happen. More specifically, combining novel control systems and new sensing paradigms to simulate a given environment, and quantify how “right” a condition set is. But in a world where life is disappearing, nature needs our help to preserve, conserve, and revitalize the fragile ecosystems that make our Earth special. I hope to do my part by learning, sharing, and inspiring a natural wonder towards the mysteries of life.
